Yesterday I was at a restaurant and ordered Fried Green Tomatoes even though at first the name didn’t impress me at all, but I tried it anyway because it was something new. What can I say? I almost fell in love with it, I’ve just discovered the Fried Green Tomatoes Recipe, and it became my favourite food, so I have to share it with you. This recipe needs green tomatoes. Fresh and not bought from a frozen bag. You also need flour, eggs, milk, dry bread crumbs or cornmeal. You will need fresh eggs, at best from a local farm. The ones that tend to have a more intense color closer to yellow will give the best taste. The milk will have to be your choice, either with low fat or not.

Firstly you need to prepare the tomatoes, you salt them and put pepper on them and leave them stay like that for about 15 or 20 minutes. Be careful not to over salt them or to put to much pepper because I’m sure you wouldn’t want to throw away those precious and tasty green tomatoes.
